Did you know spirulina- the blue-green algae you can find in your nearest health food store is packed full of protein, vitamin B12, beta carotene, and iron? Because of this, adding spirulina to your diet can boost your metabolism by as much as 11%, researchers in Greece have found. Try adding some to your morning smoothie, protein shakes or sprinkle it on oatmeal or yogurt!
